TRIPSCAPE Privacy Policy

Terms of Service

Last updated 15 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Tripscape for using the Tripscape app and website. Please read them. By creating an account or using Tripscape, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Tripscape is operated by Sharif Khaleel, an individual based in the Maldives (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Who can use Tripscape

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tripscape. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these terms for you.

3. Your account

4. Collecting stamps fairly

A stamp means you were there. That’s the point of Tripscape, so please keep it honest:

We may remove stamps, reviews or rankings that were gained unfairly, and suspend accounts that do it repeatedly.

5. What you post

You can post photos, stories, captions, comments and reviews (“your content”).

6. Reviews

Only people who collected a place’s stamp can review it. Reviews must be your honest opinion of your own visit.

7. What’s not allowed

When you use Tripscape, don’t:

8. Reports and moderation

You can report a post, comment, review or profile from inside the app. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with or without warning, especially where there’s a risk of harm. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we’ll take another look.

9. Places, businesses and your safety

We may offer paid features, such as a subscription. If we do, you buy them through the App Store or Google Play, and the price is shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings. Payments, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. Everything that’s free today will be clearly marked if it ever becomes paid.

11. Our app and artwork

The Tripscape app, name, logo, stamp designs and artwork belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for yourself, as these terms allow. Stamp images you save or share from the app are for your personal, non-commercial use.

12. Other companies’ services

Tripscape relies on services from other companies, such as Apple and Google for sign-in, Google Firebase for your account and data, Cloudflare for uploading and storing photos, and map and routing providers. Your use of those parts may also be covered by their own terms. We aren’t responsible for services we don’t run.

13. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Passport → Settings → Delete account. This removes your passport, posts, comments, reviews and follows, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We may also suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. The sections of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and limits on liability, still apply afterwards.

14. No guarantees

We work hard to make Tripscape reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that stamps, locations, reviews or other information are accurate. We may change, pause or stop features at any time.

15. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or unexpected losses, such as lost data, lost profits, or losses from travel plans, visits to places or dealings with businesses. Our total liability to you for any claim about Tripscape is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Tripscape grows. If a change is important, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Tripscape after that, you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, and disputes will be handled by the courts of the Maldives. If you live elsewhere, you may also have the right to bring a claim in your own country’s courts and to rely on its consumer protection laws.
